What a turnaround from the Jets last year.
The Winnipeg Jets were a team that had been a mess since being eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the first round last season.
The Jets were one of the most disappointing teams in the NHL last season, and the team that was supposed to be the team of the future was actually one of its worst in terms of regular season results.
After the Jets were swept in the conference finals by the Pittsburgh Penguins, the team made some major changes to its roster, bringing in goaltender Ben Bishop and bringing in veteran defensemen Dustin Byfuglien and Jacob Trouba to bolster a roster that had a record of 10-31-6 during the regular season.
For the first time in many years, the Jets had a real chance to compete in the postseason.
But after the Jets lost a series to the Florida Panthers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final on Saturday night, it looks like the team finally has a chance to finally make a real run in the playoffs.
The season is not over yet.
The Jets will play the New York Rangers on Monday in Game 7 of the Western Conference Final, which is set for 7 p.m.
ET at Madison Square Garden in New York.
