Sony has announced the first PlayStation 4 game catalog that has reached $1bn in sales in North America, the company said today.
The game catalog has already topped $1.2bn in North American sales, Sony said in a statement.
The company also announced it will begin releasing new titles for the PS4 at a faster pace in the coming months.
Sony said it has sold more than 4.3 billion PlayStation 4 consoles since it launched in the US in 2014.
The company has also sold more PlayStation 4s than any other platform.
The PlayStation 4 is Sony’s answer to the Xbox One, the first game console to feature backwards compatibility.
It is also the world’s best-selling console.
Sony has said it plans to sell 4 million PlayStation 4 bundles during the holiday season.
