Epic Games, the developer behind the popular shooter game “Star Wars: The Old Republic,” has announced the launch of an MMO title called Star Wars: Imperial Assault, which will offer players “the chance to experience a unique, fast-paced campaign mode, epic loot boxes, and even the opportunity to create your own custom character.”
The MMO is a sequel to the “Star Trek Online” series of games and is described as “a fast-action online game with all-new content and gameplay elements.”
Players will be able to buy ships and upgrade their character’s attributes to boost their stats and make them more powerful.
“This is an MMO that lets you take control of your own destiny, build and customize your ship, equip and outfit your heroes, and join with friends in epic battles across the galaxy,” said Chris Perkins, CEO of Epic Games.
“StarWars: Imperial Attack is an exciting, thrilling game that will be available to all players in the coming weeks.”
The game will offer a number of new features.
For example, players can earn more experience and gold for completing quests and earning XP for completing missions.
Players can also use “heroic” cards to boost the player’s character’s stats, but only to level up their character.
“Players can also customize their characters to their personal tastes and tastes will be reflected in the game’s customization options, and will allow players to choose their own armor, weapons, and abilities,” Perkins said.
In addition, players will be rewarded for completing specific missions.
In a press release, Perkins said that “the game’s hero customization will offer an unparalleled player experience.”
The “Star War” franchise is famous for its open world multiplayer.
Star Wars Battlefront II, the game in development for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 4, will be released on March 10, 2018.
It will also be available for PC.
