Microsoft has announced that the next ‘Star Battlefront’ game will launch on Xbox Live Arcade this summer, and the company is now selling the first three episodes of ‘The Force Awakens’ on Xbox One.
The ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ episode will also be available on Xbox as part of the ‘StarWars’ bundle.
‘The Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ which has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide, will launch for Xbox 360 on August 21.
The game will also launch on PS3 and Wii U this summer.
Xbox and PlayStation owners will be able to access the ‘Battlefront II: Battlefront Bundle’ for $20 and $25, respectively, through August 29.
The game is a new entry in the ‘Force Awakens’ franchise that will be a continuation of the Battlefront games that launched in 2015, which saw players battling in the Battle of Endor.
The first three Star Wars games were sold separately on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Microsoft will sell the Star Wars Battlefield game on Xbox Play Anywhere starting July 1 for $40.
Microsoft says that the ‘The Forces of Destiny’ Episode Two is the last episode of the Star Battle franchise.
It will launch in September on Xbox and Windows 10.
Star Wars: Battlefield II will also include a new multiplayer mode called ‘Force Multiplayer,’ which will allow up to eight players to battle it out against each other.
‘Battlefield II’ is a follow-up to ‘Star Force,’ the 2010 video game that featured two teams of players fighting against each another in a two-player arena.
‘StarForce’ was also released for Xbox Live in 2015.
‘Star Wars Battleship Assault’ is scheduled to release on the same day as ‘Star Forces’ in early 2018.
“Star Wars fans around the world have come to expect the latest Star Wars adventures, and this new addition to the franchise is sure to delight,” said Robert H. Allen, senior vice president and general manager, Microsoft Studios, in a statement.
“It’s a must-play game for any Star Wars fan.”
“Battlefield 2′ has a high score of 4.0 on Metacritic, a user rating site, while ‘Star Command: Starfighter’ is rated 4.4 out of 5 stars.
‘Halo Wars 2’ is also coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this summer and will be available for $30.
Microsoft is also offering a ‘Starfighter Assault’ free game for free for Xbox One owners who purchase the Xbox PlayAnywhere edition of the game.
