By TOM GILLIAM Associated PressSeattle Seahawks head coach Russell “Bear” Wilson has been trying to build his team around the playmaking talent of DeSean “The Great One” Jackson, and the latest rumor is that he’s looking to move up the draft board.
The Seattle Times reported Thursday that the Seahawks are in negotiations with the Philadelphia Eagles over the No. 3 overall pick, which the Eagles used to select running back Bryce Brown in the first round.
According to the report, the Seahawks have made it clear to Jackson that he would be the No-1 target on the trade market if he is traded.
The Eagles are expected to trade up to select Brown.
The Seahawks are also looking to add a pass-catching cornerback, but there’s no indication that they’re considering that at this point.
They have a trio of young wide receivers in Tyrell Williams, Michael Bennett and Chris Matthews, and have one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson.
They also have tight end Jimmy Graham and wide receiver Doug Baldwin, but they could be interested in a wide receiver if the Seahawks don’t feel comfortable trading up for Brown.
